Tanya Kozin RBSA continues with her courses in the Spring 2021. She will be offering Art classes in painting, drawing and sculpture in Coventry.
Spring term 2021
Portrait Drawing / Painting
Duration: 5 weeks/10 hrs Fee: £40
Platform: Zoom meeting
Starts: 28 Jan 2021, Thursday
Time: 19.00-21.00
We will continue to focus on drawing and painting of the head; this will involve drawing from online 3D models, together with a couple of sessions of live models modelling online. We will emphasize tonal drawing and painting using different media, i.e. acrylic, oil, watercolours. Drawing from supplied casts is yet another option. The sessions will combine theory with practical exercises.
Video of my presentations will be available online for a week, after each class. I would suggest A3-A4 size of paper for drawing at home.

Still Life

Platform: Zoom meeting
Starts: on demand for small groups
Here we can compete, compare and work comfortably from life in your home studio. While I will suggest a type of setting in advance, I will offer images to draw from, as an alternative or as an example. Composition, proportions, structure, light and shadow distribution, perspective and aerial perspective: all you need for confident drawing and painting.
I would suggest A3-A4 size of paper for drawing and painting.

I believe a number of clauses justify an exemption for our classes, mostly under section 5.3. and here is some of the wording below to give you further comfort:
Exceptions are given where:
– the gathering has been organised by a business, a charitable, benevolent or philanthropic institution, a public body, or a political body,
– the person responsible for organising the gathering (“the gathering organiser”) has carried out a risk assessment which would satisfy the requirements of regulation 3 of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999(1), whether or not the gathering organiser is subject to those Regulations, and
– the gathering organiser has taken all reasonable measures to limit the risk of transmission of the coronavirus, taking into account the risk assessment carried out under paragraph, and
– where the gathering is reasonably necessary for the purposes of education or training.
